This is super helpful! I've run into VMDK mount issues before and often just gave up. Good to know there are multiple ways to tackle it. I'll definitely check out Choicer Voicer later, as I'm always looking for more tools to simplify these kinds of tasks.

DisableStrictNameChecking is one of those registry values I look up every single time and never manage to remember. Worth noting for anyone following along: if you’re reaching file shares through the alias, you also need the alternate name registered or SMB will still refuse the connection. Short and to the point, which is exactly what I want when I’m halfway through a migration.

Seems to me like this was a bad patch (cumulative update) for Server 2016 that caused the DHCP issues. I believe further updates fixed this. Can you confirm the updates fixed your problem?

For those that are getting the OS issue when it comes to the script, I edited the PowerShell script.
Around line 200 it’s when it’s checking the ISO.
I commented out the False and added a true. I did this for the Iso.Length check and the Get-FileHash check.
