Windows Automated Installation Kit for Windows 7
Windows 7 is about to launch today, actually it was already launched in Australia because of the time. However, since the release of RTM, manufactories were busy on building their pre-load copy of Windows 7 for their machines. Those big corporations that have plan to upgrade will also be busying building their Windows 7 image files for deploying. One of the many ways that help them to do that is to use the Windows Automated Installation Kit, aka WAIK.
The Windows Automated Installation Kit (Windows AIK) is a set of tools and documentation that support the configuration and the deployment of Microsoft® Windows® operating systems. You can download the latest updated documentation from Microsoft website, which includes 6 separate documents that describe the current methods, tools, and requirements for deploying Windows.
There will be a lot of reading, testing involved if you want to get into it. So be prepared.
