Firebug can make Gmail slow

The warning message warned me that Firebug can make Gmail slow in a very standing out red background box in my Gmail. I clicked the link “Fix” in the same box which redirected me into the Google help center. It suggests disabling Firebug for www.google.com for the best Gmail performance. Interesting…but I did what it suggested because it won’t hurt anyway.
